Bill Summary

This bill would foster infrastructure for broadband expansion by authorizing counties and cities to build and lease facilities/equipment of broadband services.

The goal of this bill is to invest in local economies, provide educational and career opportunities, modernize farming technologies, and provide improved health opportunities.

NCMS is supportive of this due to the ability of this infrastructure to enhance telemedicine capability particularly in rural areas.
