Bill Summary

This bill would allow the North Carolina Center for Safer Schools to  establish Threat Assessment Teams in Public Schools. In addition, this bill would allow school counselors to coordinate peer to peer student counseling programs. These programs would address mental health, general health, wellness, and mentoring. The bill would also allow that grants be provided as recommended by the House Select Committeee on School Safety.
