Bill Summary

This bill removes the requirement that buprenourphone prescribers resister with the state and federal government. The bill decriminalizes the use of drug testing equipment to detect contaminants.

This bill broadens the objectives of syringe exchange programs to reduce drugs overdoses.

The bill removes the ban on the use of state funds to purchase needles.

The bill adds requirements for prescribers to check the controlled substances reporting system when prescribing benzodiazepines.

This bill establishes a State Opioid Treatment Authority Fund.
