Research Team Seeks Primary Care Practices for Study on Obesity Services and Treatment

A research team trying to understand what primary care practices are doing to help patients with weight loss wants to hear about both your successes and difficulties with addressing obesity in your practice.  The team hopes to document what is happening in real-world settings to address policy changes that will support primary care in this area. Whether your practice offers obesity treatment or not, they would love to hear from you about this topic.

Any practice member can participate. Each participant will each receive a $50 gift card for completing a short (10-15 minutes) paper or online (you choose which version) survey and participating in a 30-minute phone interview. Please contact Professional Research Assistant, Lauri Connelly at 303-724-9529 or at with your questions or to sign up. You may also complete the survey online at and then Lauri will follow-up with you later for the brief interview. Please feel free to share this information with potentially eligible colleagues at other practices. Thank you!

This study is funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Participating universities include the University of Colorado, Michigan State University and Duke University.
