RESOLVED, That the North Carolina Medical Society supports evaluation of low-level radiation disposal facility sites as to their geological, hydrological, seismological, and meteorological suitability. In addition, every effort should be taken to select sites and design facilities that protect public health and ensure safe operation of such facilities.
