Mission
The mission of the NCPA is to:
- Promote the highest quality care for North Carolina residents with mental illness, including substance abuse disorders;
- Advance and represent the profession of psychiatry and medicine in North Carolina;
- Serve the professional needs of its membership.
The association provides information about the psychiatric profession and mental illness, helps consumers locate psychiatrists, and serves as a resource to members regarding public policy issues.
