nc-stampHB 26 – Workers’ Compensation/Approval of Disputed Legal Fees

This bill states that if a dispute arises between an employee’s current and past attorney regarding a fee approved by the Commission, the Commission will hear it. Additionally, the Commission would notify the attorneys of the total fee amount before determining how to divide the fees between the attorneys.

This bill was withdrawn from the calendar and has been placed on the Senate calendar on June 22, 2017.

This bill was withdrawn from the Senate calendar on June 22, 2017, and was re-referred to the Senate Rules and Operations Committee.
