State’s Analysis of American Health Care Act’s Impact on North Carolina

capitol-buildingThe North Carolina General Assembly’s Fiscal Research Division has done a preliminary analysis of the impact on the state of the proposed American Health Care Act (AHCA), now under consideration by the US House of Representatives. Review ‘The Implications of Possible Medicaid Block Grants and Per Capita Funding.”

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services also analyzed information on the AHCA’s impact on North Carolina.

These reports were presented this week to the Joint House and Senate Health and Human Services Appropriations Committee.

    The Medical professionals should have a prominent voice in all healthcare decisions made by Legislators and Congress. The health insurance of members of Legislatures and Congress should have the same limitations put on their health insurance as any others insured. The plans focus on the poor, women and senior citizens. WHY?
