Senators Take Aim at Meaningful Use

Twenty-seven US Senators have called for changes in the CMS’ proposed rule on “meaningful use” of electronic health records (EHR). The bipartisan group sent a letter  to CMS Administrator Charlene Frizzera seeking a more gradual implementation of the rule, as well as relaxing or changing other EHR mandates.  More details are found in this report published by HealthLeaders Media.

    Shouldn’t NCMS give us guidance on selecting an EHR vendor? A poll of local practices that already have an EHR would be a good start. I know you can get that thru the Klas report, but a local take would be nice.
