Senate Health Committee Seeks Health Care Bill As Congress Returns

As reported in the last North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) Bulletin (US Senate Health Committee to Hold Hearings on Insurance Market Stabilization), the Senate Health Committee will hear testimony from governors and state insurance officials today and tomorrow as Congress returns from its summer recess. US Senate Health Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-Wash.) hope the hearings will lead to passage of a bipartisan bill by the end of the month to stabilize the insurance markets for 2018.

Watch the NCMS website, social media feeds and future Bulletins for updates on the fate of such a bill.
