Continuing Education Credit Information

The North Carolina Medical Society Department of Education Services accredits a variety of learning opportunities including regularly scheduled conferences (RSC), single course symposia / onetime activities.

At times the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) may choose to partner with, state specialty societies, county medical societies and governmental agencies to offer continuing Medical Education (CME) activities. NCMS will enter into these partnerships in order to fulfill its CME mission by adding valuable content consistent with clinical practice or in response to needs that physicians perceive in their practices, incorporating innovative educational strategies, and/or reaching target audiences otherwise difficult to attract. A $350 nonrefundable application fee is due with submission of application. Application must be recived 90 days before the event.

The North Carolina Medical Society Department of Education Services is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) for physicians. All approved courses are accredited for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
