Organization Helps Physicians Interested in Volunteering

Physicians who are retired or who just want to use their skills to give back to their community may be interested in exploring a national organization that helps needy patients who lack insurance receive care. Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) works with a community to develop a clinic by first helping to identify a local “champion” to lead the project, and by providing hands-on planning and implementation assistance through a no-cost consulting agreement.

Learn more about VIM’s history and list of accomplishments, and about the clinic development assistance offered by VIM. For additional information, please contact VIM’s Executive Director Amy Hamlin at (802) 651-0112 or via email at: ahamlin@vimi.org.
