Recent development of data standards and improved technology may allow efficient information sharing over the Internet in the near future.
 
The NCMS is conducting this survey to determine whether members are interested in having NCMS develop affordable services for members to implement electronic health record and health information exchange systems.
 
The survey is estimate to take 5-10 minutes to complete.

If you are considering implementing an electronic health record system in your practice, would you be interested in: (check only one)
An application service provider system (ASP) provided through the NCMS. In this model, the information is accessed through a portal on the Internet. The data is stored, maintained, and secured by this outside vendor. Low cost, but no ownership.
Ownership or leasing of an EHR system. The practice is responsible for all tech support and owns the system.
Participation in a group purchasing plan organized by the NCMS, with ownership in the system shared with other practices.
