Eligible professionals participating in Medicare’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program have until Wednesday, October 3, 2012 to begin their 90-day reporting period for 2012. Consecutive reporting is required to attest to Meaningful Use and to receive an incentive payment for this year. Physicians who are not ready to begin the 90-day attestation period may contact the NCMS for assistance.
Here are some resources that are helpful in preparing for attestation:
Eligible Professional Attestation Worksheet
Meaningful Use Attestation Calculator
Attestation User Guide for Eligible Professionals
Those who need help with attesting to Meaningful Use may contact Terri Gonzalez, NCMS Director of Practice Improvement, at 800-722-1350 or email@example.com. The NCMS offers consulting services through PractEssentials to assist physicians and their practices with practice management needs. NCMS members can receive these services at a discounted rate.
