‘Health Care Provider’ to Include Paramedics

This bill would amend the definition of a health care provider in article 1B of Chapter 90 of the general statutes to include paramedics.

House:

This bill received a favorable report in the House Health Committee on March 14, 2017.

This bill received a favorable report in the House Judiciary I Committee on March 29, 2017.

This bill passed second and third reading in the house on March 30, 2017.

This bill will now move to the Senate.

Senate:

This bill was referred to the Senate Rules and Operations Committee on April 3, 2017.

This bill was withdrawn from Senate Rules and Operations Committee and re-referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 8, 2017.

This bill was heard for discussion only in the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 20, 2017. Rep. Dennis Riddell (R-Alamance) introduced the bill. This bill was passed in the committee, and will now move to the Senate Rules and Operations Committee.

This bill passed the Senate Rules and Operations Committee on June 26, 2017, and will now move to the Senate floor.

This bill passed in the Senate, and will now be sent to Governor Cooper.

This bill was signed by Gov. Cooper on July 20, 2017.
