Primary Sponsors: Sen. David Curtis (R – Gaston), Sen. Cathy Dunn (R – Davidson), Sen. Danny Britt (R – Robeson)

This bill would make assaulting an emergency medical technician, emergency health care provider, medical responder or hospital personnel a class G felony if the perpetrator inflicts bodily injury using a deadly weapon other than a firearm. If the individual used a firearm, they would be guilty of a class E felony.
