NCMS 2008 Annual Meeting

Mark your calendars now for the 2008 Annual Meeting and House of Delegates, October 17-19, at the Charlotte Westin.

NCMS Annual Meeting Shortened to Meet Member Needs
At its meeting on March 2, the NCMS Board of Directors approved a new schedule for the 2008 Annual Meeting and House of Delegates that will decrease the number of days members are away from their practices. The Board of Directors made this change at the recommendation of a Task Force chaired by Speaker of the House Doug Sheets, MD, with the goal of generating increased interest in meeting participation by decreasing members' time commitments and achieving greater efficiencies for the NCMS and its vendor partners.

The 2008 North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) Annual Meeting and House of Delegates is scheduled to open for members on the evening of Friday, October 17, with a welcome reception beginning at 6:00pm. The House of Delegates will kick off on Saturday from 9:00am-10:30am and wrap up on Sunday, October 19, from 9:30am-5:00pm. This year's meeting will be held at the Westin Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, NC. All NCMS members are encouraged to participate fully in this democratic forum for developing policy that affects health care delivery in North Carolina.
