Applications for White House Fellows Now Being Accepted

Former North Carolina Secretary of Health and Human Services, Aldona Vos, MD, now vice-chairwoman for the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships wants to alert North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) members that the application period for White House Fellows is now open. The White House Fellows Program offer fellowships at the highest levels of government and is one of the most prestigious program in government for young professionals. White House Fellows typically spend a year as full-time, paid assistants to senior White House Staff, the Vice President, Cabinet Secretaries and other top-ranking government officials.  They are expected to return to their former or new occupations more experienced in public policy decision-making and better prepared to contribute to national affairs, thereby fulfilling the mission of the program.

The program is non-partisan and there are no age restrictions, although it is designed for those early in their career. Learn more here.
