This bill would direct the NC Medical Care Commission to amend the rules pertaining to the management of hospital medical records in order to revise the qualifications of medical records managers.  If the manager is not a registered health information administrator (RHIA) or a registered health information technician (RHIT), the hospital shall retain a person with those qualifications on a part-time or consulting basis.
